Brand new SIDI Vertigo Corsa motorcycle roadracing boots in size 9.5 U.S. (43 EUR, 9 UK). Sizing is true-to-size, with the width being approximately equivalent to a D or M. It should be noted that the fit is designed to be snug, as these are engineered for racing, for the feet to not flop around inside the boots sustaining damage in a crash. Made in Italy. These have never been worn outside/outdoors, period. They are in the same, exact condition as when they were purchased new. They were kept in their original box, with numerous bags of silica gel desiccant. These were the top-of-the-line (in the world, not only within SIDI) roadracing boots, at the height of SIDI's preeminence in the industry, when most MotoGP racers were wearing these. The Vertigo Corsas were made with no compromises with regard to state-of-the-art technologies, materials, etc., unlike their successor, the current Vortices, which have conceded to cost-cutting concerns, such as no longer using carbon fiber for shin plates, no longer using ceramic sliders on toe plates, the use of a simpler system for heel shock absorption, etc. In short, the Vertigo Corsas were the apex of SIDI's accomplishments in the development of their roadracing boots. The features in the Vertigo Corsa are so numerous, that it would be a challenge to list them all, but these are some: hinged ankle support brace (allowing fore-aft movement but protecting against dangerous lateral movement); Tecno instep and calf tensioners (which allow for a custom, dialed-in fit for the foot and calf - even for larger calves, while allowing for quick loosening; shock/impact absorbing heel system; ceramic sliders on toe plates; adjustable air ventilation system; all parts being replaceable for repairs, if necessary (for racers). $260 firm (firm means firm) for the pair.
